General tone of the market is weak with Soymeal values steadily falling as the US crop has been harvested( 80% complete). Animal proteins such as Meat and Bone Meal and Feathermeal are falling in price and the seasonal aspect in Australia has seen producers increasing the kill to turn more head into cash before Christmas. European debt issues aren't helping matters perhaps the New Year could see the bottoming of the market??? Read More.

As we are moving from Spring into the Summer period the kill is now in full swing and with the US harvest basically complete all eyes turn to the South American Corn and Soybean Crop. You cant help but feel that there is a good amount of feed around at present however this will be tempered by the close down of rendering plants in ANZ over Christmas and the increase in demand for feed in the North American winter.
